Sport Integrity Framework
What is Sport Integrity?
Archery should be a safe, inclusive and fair place for all participants to thrive. Archery Australia strives to protect the enjoyment of archery by participants, officials, athletes, coaches and supporters, and treats integrity threats seriously.
Threats to archery integrity can include doping, improper use of drugs and medicine, competition manipulation and bullying, discrimination or abuse.

What is the National Integrity Framework?
The National Integrity Framework (NIF) is a suite of policies that sets out how we should and shouldn’t behave, and how matters are handled when a policy might have been breached. The table below outlines the policies and their scope. You can access the policies below and find more detail in the pages following.
Member Protection Policy
Abuse, bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, discrimination, victimisation, and vilification.
Examples on page 7 of policy
Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
Harm, abuse or neglect specifically relating to children or young people.
Examples on page 8 of the policy and mandatory actions on page 10.
Competition Manipulation and Sports Gambling Policy
Manipulation of competitions and illicit betting.
Examples on page 9 and 10 of policy
Improper Use of Drugs and Medicines Policy
Use and possession of illegal drugs, provision of appropriate science and medicine services.
Examples in clause 4 on page 6 of the policy
Complaints, Disputes & Discipline Policy
Sets out the processes for reporting or making a complaint about a breach of any of the NIF policies.
Examples in clause 6.8 on page 11 of policy. Refer also to the Concerns, Reports & Complaints page
What is not covered by the framework?
The Framework was never intended to cover every matter considered as an integrity issue. While the Framework covers a broad range of topics, there are several elements that fall outside of its scope, including:
- Whistleblower disclosures
- Selection disputes
- Australia Personal Grievance Policy
- Code of Conduct breaches
- Governance misconduct
- Employment disputes
- Competition-related rules
- Anti-doping
