School and Community Programs

Community groups

There is often interest from community groups to hold intro to archery lessons to get people familiar with the sport and peak their interest to get involved before trying a come and try session or joining a club.

Each state has a participation lead to initiate and connect community groups by providing accredited coaches and safe and fun activities to introduce the sport of archery by. This includes groups like, schools, Scouts, PCYC, Girl Guides, YMCA and Duke of Ed as well as attending community and cultural fairs and fetes.

Sporting schools

Archery Australia is currently in the process of joining the Sporting School program for 2026. While the sporting school program is being finalised, if you would like to introduce archery to your school contact your state participation lead.

Participation leads

Each state has a designated Participation lead to drive the growth, capacity and engagement with archery across Australia.

The participation leads proactively support clubs and coaches to engage new participants and create opportunities to introduce new participant and communities to the sport of archery across a range of diverse and inclusive environments.
