Community Participation Coach

Focuses on introducing new participants to archery through fun, safe, and inclusive entry-level technique, and creating a positive first experience to help new archers enjoy and progress in the sport.

Archery Participation Coach

Focuses on developing the fundamentals, technical skills, and refining technique, developing consistent performance, and building competition readiness, while fostering long-term participation in the sport for club/state level archers.

Archery Performance Coach

Focuses on advanced technical refinement, peak performance planning, and psychological strategies to succeed at state, national, and international competition levels and optimisation for competitive athletes.

What are the requirements of becoming an Archery Australia coach?

  • Minimum 16 years of age at completion
  • Must have been an Archery Australia member for a minimum of 12 months
  • Completion of Archery Australia online pre-learning modules ( e-learning )
  • Completion of Sport Australia essential skills course (replaces general principals)
  • First Aid
  • Play by The Rules Inclusive coaching course (Sport Integrity Australia)

These courses are run in each state at different times over the year or as an online course. If you are interest and meet the criteria contact the coach coordinator or fill out an online application.
