Archery Australia is pleased to welcome three highly experienced professionals to the Board in 2025, each bringing valuable expertise and a deep commitment to strengthening our sport.
Derek Stokes joins the Board with extensive senior finance and governance experience across national and elite sporting organisations, including the PGA of Australia and The Metropolitan Golf Club. A Fellow of CPA Australia and an active competitive archer, Derek brings a rare blend of professional expertise and grassroots understanding, ensuring a strong, member-focused perspective.
Dr James Parks, a Life Member and respected world expert in arrow dynamics and archery biomechanics, returns to the Board with decades of research, international competition insight, and leadership experience. His strategic mindset, event management capability, and deep technical knowledge will continue to guide the sport’s development and performance pathways.
Nicholas Carroll brings nearly two decades of experience in marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement within Australian sport. Having supported state and national programs—including NSWIS Para Archery—Nic offers strong capability in strategic planning, digital innovation, and member-centred communication.
Together, Derek, James, and Nic strengthen our Board’s collective leadership, ensuring the organisation is well-positioned for growth, visibility, and long-term success.
