Get Into Archery

Volunteering

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the sport and to be part of the archery community. Archery Australia recognises that volunteers are the backbone of the sport, dedicating their time and energy to ensure its growth and accessibility. AA are so grateful for the time and dedication of all the volunteers involved in clubs from the value role they play on club committees as well as those who show up each week to help around the club to share their passion for archery with new and existing members.

Becoming a volunteer in archery could look like:

  • Joining a club or RGB committee
  • Helping host or run a club event
  • Officials to judge and score events
  • Becoming a club coach
  • Timekeeper of events
  • Groundskeeping and line marking
  • Equipment maintenance

AA is part to the ASC volunteers coalition to allow the resources and tools to be able to support our volunteers and give them the recognition they deserve. We are proud to have a large number of our volunteers recognised in the ASC Volunteers Map
